Entourage Institute's nail technology program trains you on manicures, pedicures, gel and acrylic work, and nail art, then puts you in the clinic chair against real Lenexa clients.
Chapter 01
The bench skills
The program covers the full bench: manicures and pedicures, gel polish, acrylic extensions, nail art, paraffin treatments, and nail repair. You learn each skill on the same tools and the same stations the public books in the clinic next door, so what you practice in class is what you perform for a paying client within the same term.
Instructors walk you through the difference between hard and soft product early, because knowing which one is on a client's nails changes how you remove it safely and how long that removal takes. It is one of the first judgment calls a nail student has to make on their own.
Sanitation and time
Every tool is sterilized between clients, and part of the program is learning to run that process without it slowing down your chair. A basic manicure runs about 30 to 45 minutes once you are comfortable with the routine, while acrylics or a detailed nail art design can run closer to two hours.
Pacing an appointment is its own skill. You learn to read how long a design will actually take, communicate that to the client up front, and keep the schedule for whoever is booked in after them, all while a licensed instructor checks your work at every stage.
Chapter 03
Four months to a license
Nail technology runs 4 months full time or 6 months part time, the shortest path to Kansas licensure that Entourage offers. The program is approved by the Kansas Board of Cosmetology.
Valeria Toscano teaches nails at the Lenexa campus. She graduated from the program herself in 2022 and has spent the five years since building the hands-on experience she now teaches from, on the same clinic floor students train on today.

Both tracks lead to the same license. Which one fits depends on whether you can commit to campus during the day or need a schedule built around another job. Admissions can walk you through both when you schedule a tour, or ask about it during enrollment.

Valeria Toscano leads the nail technology program at the Lenexa campus. She is a 2022 graduate of the program and brings five years of hands-on experience to the stations she now teaches from, the same stations where the public books its manicures, pedicures, and nail art appointments.
